Everything it keeps
A motorhome is two things bolted together: a base vehicle underneath, serviced as a van and MOT'd as one, and a habitation body on top with its own annual check and its own trade. NomadStamp keeps them apart, because the people who work on them are different people.
Your MOT history, already there
Type your registration and NomadStamp fetches your van's full MOT history straight from DVSA. Every test, with its date, its result and its mileage, exactly as they hold them. Insurance, road tax and breakdown cover sit alongside it, with the dates you recorded.
Damp readings, year by year
One year's reading is a number. Eight years of readings is what a motorhome is actually worth. Every location your engineer tested, every survey they tested it in, stored exactly as recorded so the trend is there at resale.
Your garage's own sheet
Photograph the invoice, or put the workshop's inspection sheet in line by line, with the values they measured. It is stored the way they wrote it, and it is still there in eight years. Pin the lines you care about and they lead the screen next time.
What's on file, and when
Each register says how much is in it and what it most recently received, so you can see at a glance where the gaps are. The year-by-year grid underneath marks what you have a document for and leaves a blank where you don't.

Every kind of record the app holds, and what goes in each.
- Service history
- Date, mileage, what was done, who did it, what it cost, and the workshop's own inspection sheet line by line. Photograph the invoice and it stays attached.
- MOT and certificates
- MOT history from DVSA. Insurance, road tax, breakdown cover and gas safety records, each with the dates you recorded and the paperwork you photographed.
- Habitation checks
- One record per visit: the certificate, the workshop, the reference, the cost, the mileage, what was carried out, and the check sheet line by line.
- Damp surveys
- Readings by location, survey by survey, with the meter and the engineer's name. A survey with no readings above the reporting threshold prints as a sentence rather than an empty table.
- Tyres
- By wheel position, spare included, with the make, the date fitted, the mileage and the DOT code off the sidewall.
- Appliances
- What is fitted, when it was fitted, and its serial number. A habitation check can name the appliance a line examined.
- Damage
- The dent logged when it happened, with photographs, before any repair. A dated photograph of a scrape with its repair recorded is the difference between a van with a history and a van with a suspicious respray.
- Invoices
- A cost with no dated certificate to anchor it, whichever half of the van it came off.
- Trips and mileage
- Where you went, when, and the odometer at each end. Mileage can also be logged on its own, which is all the app needs to know how fast the van accrues miles.
- Checklists
- Your own pre-trip lists, run and kept as a record of the run rather than overwriting the template.
- Reminders
- Against dates and mileages you set. For a mileage, the app projects a date from how fast you have actually been driving and reminds you against that.
- Vehicle details
- Registration, make and model, fuel, first registered, VIN, MTPLM, MIRO, payload, test regime and a photograph. Payload is worked out from the two weights and never stored.
The resale pack
One PDF with everything in it: services, certificates, inspection sheets, damp readings, tyres, appliances, damage and every photo you have filed. Real text, so it is searchable and it prints, rather than a folder of screenshots. You choose which sections go in before you send it, and a section you leave out takes its paperwork with it.
More than one van
All of them are included in the one purchase. Each is a complete and separate logbook with its own records, its own reminders, its own mileage and its own resale pack. Nothing is shared, totalled or compared across them.
Undo on everything
Anything you log can be undone from the banner that appears straight after it. The one thing that cannot is removing a whole vehicle, which takes its records with it, so the app asks first and says plainly that there is no undo.
Your records stay yours
Your logbook stays on your device and in your own iCloud. There is no account, no sign-in and no analytics. NomadStamp has no server holding your records and no way to read them.
One thing leaves, and only when you ask for it: tap “Fill in from DVSA” and your registration goes to a lookup service that asks the government for that vehicle's MOT history. It keeps no logs and no database. The full privacy policy.
Why isn't it free?
Because there's no advertising in it and nothing in it is trying to sell you something later. You pay once, it works offline forever, and there is no account, no subscription and nothing collecting your data to make money another way.
A free app has to make its money somewhere, and for this kind of app that is normally ads, a subscription, or your data. This one is £9.99 and then it's yours.
What it doesn't do
NomadStamp is a record-keeper, not an advisor. It keeps what you and your workshops wrote down and shows it back exactly as entered. It never tells you whether something is due, safe or legal, and it never works out a date from a reading. Where you want warning, you set a reminder against a date you chose.
If you are after an app that decides when your van needs work, this isn't it, and that's deliberate. There's no campsite finder either. Park4Night and Brit Stops do that well.
